Responsible for the conceptual design development of a potato storage and grading plant, including long-term refrigerated storage. This work also required the incorporation of local construction materials and methods into the design.

Responsible for the mechanical and electrical design of a new hospitality property including over 200 rental units, a main hotel facility with restaurant, spa, pools, and other resort amenities.
Belize – Water Board Review
Client: Social Investment Fund; Government of Belize
Prime Consultant responsible for reviewing 24 of 146 independent Water Boards throughout Belize to assess physical assests, operations, and governance models, and recommend strategies to improve efficiency and viability.
Antigua and Barbuda – Hurricane Irma RRL Rehabilitation
Client: Government of Antigua and Barbuda
Prime Consultant responsible for the architectural, mechanical, and electrical design for rehabilitation of three facilities — Holy Trinity School, Community Centre, and Council Administration Building — following Hurricane Irma. This project earned Coles Associates a National Award of Excellence from the Association of Consulting Engineering Companies of Canada.
2020s
St. Vincent – Medical Facility Upgrades
Client: Government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines
Led a three-firm joint venture providing architectural, mechanical, and electrical design for upgrades to four medical facilities, enabling isolation of infectious disease cases. Construction of the first facility is nearing completion.
Antigua and Barbuda – National Office of Disaster Services Expansion
Client: Government of Antigua and Barbuda
Prime Consultant responsible for the architectural, mechanical, and electrical design for the expansion of the National Office of Disaster Services office and warehouse in Barbuda. The facility is now operational.
Antigua and Barbuda – Multifunctional Centre, Barbuda
Client: Government of Antigua and Barbuda
Prime Consultant responsible for the design of a new Multifunctional Centre serving as a weather event shelter for residents of Barbuda. The project is scheduled to go to tender in December 2025.
St. Lucia – 14 Smart Clinics
Client: Rider Levett Bucknall
Responsible for the architectural, mechanical, and electrical design required to upgrade 14 existing medical facilities across St. Lucia to meet the SMART® facility standard. Construction is currently underway.
Anguilla – Aurora Golf and Resort Expansion/Upgrade
Client: Aurora Golf Course and Resort
Responsible for oversight of the mechanical and electrical design for rehabilitation of 20 six-unit villas, Central Energy Plant expansion, site utility expansion, and integration of a 5 MW solar installation at the Aurora Anguilla Resort and Golf Club. This project is currently under construction.
Guyana – Lethem Hospital

As part of a two-firm joint venture acting as Owner’s Agent, Coles Associates is responsible for design review and oversight of the Design Builder’s submissions for a new 75-bed hospital currently under construction in Lethem.
